Capresso Disk Burr Grinders Review

Capresso Disk Burr GrindersI have a love-hate relationship with this Burr grinder.I love the action of the Burr grinder, I love the timer (and agree with the previous comment about the air raid siren), and I love the various grind options, but this particular grinder does not do well with oily beans. After two weeks of owning the grinder, the thing was totally clogged and that wimpy, little brush isn't going to do it.It took me an hour with a large, stretched out paper clip to get the inside of the grinder cleaned out. Now, I must clean it out every day to keep it clog free.I'm not willing to give up my French Roast coffee beans. To clean, I have to unplug the unit, stick my finger up the shoot to try to get all compacted grounds out of the shoot. Then I stick the little brush up until it can reach into bean cylinder.Because of the ground coffee that stays behind in the shoot, the ground coffee quantity is never the same.I use the timer on the full time (40 seconds) twice to get the quantity that I want.I also weigh it to make sure it's in the ball park.I would not recommend this product.Grinding coffee shouldn't be this difficult.
